November 23, 2019 - With the help of friends, volunteers, and donors, we were able to give 10 of the top students of Laiban Elementary School Tanay, Rizal an educational field trip at The Mind Museum in Bonifacio Global City. This would mark the beginning of our advocacy towards empowering children to make the change for a better, kinder world.
Spread Kindness, a non-profit fundraising project for Brighter Brighter Communities, invited teachers and students from Laiban Elementary School for a day of learning at The Mind Museum. The community has no access to electricity and has limited resources to provide the students with a better learning environment. According to the teachers, the students are limited to textbooks when learning about new technologies.
The visit to The mind Museum gave the students hands-on experience to everything that the students only saw and read about in books. Their day included an unguided tour to all the museum's galleries and a fun afternoon at the Jose Yao Campos Park.
Spread Kindness is launching Brighter Communities Children in Tech with the theme Spark and Inspire. In this quarterly event, we will bring the children to the mind museum to learn about global issues including climate change and clean energy, and ask them the big question of how they think they can be part of the solution.
